We are expecting puppies

On Christmas Eve our Jane has been bred to Eichiro vom Wächterberg. Eichiro is an excellent male out of our E-litter. In November 06 he got his breeding license.

Here are the results of his necessary vet examinations:

  • patella/kneecap: no abnormality detected (NAD
  • ellbows: NAD
  • shoulders: NAD
  • hips: NAD (HD-free)
  • eyes: NAD

The puppies will be born around February 20, 2008. We are very excited.

Janes litter-brother Eddie successful at shows

Eddie earned his Championship this past weekend at the shows in Columbus. He finished on Saturday by going Brest of Breed over an entry of 20 Akitas (including Specials). Showing as a Special on Sunday, Eddie again went Best of Breed over the same number of Akitas.
He finished in 10 shows over a span of 2 ½ months.

CSC 2007

As usual in autumn we took part in the traditional fancy-dress-competition of our dog school today. Our dream team, consisting of Chey, Jane and Bea, was called "Die Deutschländer" this time. Unfortunately, the weather was terrible and our girls were not in top form today, especially Chey and Bea made several mistakes. Jane was the only one which flew over the track without any mistakes. Finally we could reach the 6th rank. Nevertheless it was a lot of fun for all the participants.

Happy Birthday Bruno

Today we celebrate our Bruno's 12th birthday. He's still fine and healthy, and can do all the activities which we are practicing with our Akitas (except for agility). When our girls were hot, he even felt at least five years younger. He loves spending the day lazying around but going for a walk is still one of his favourites.
Happy birthday Bruno. We wished you would stay with us many happy
further years.

Three-Pack At Dog School

Gina, Ginkou and Geeza met for the first time at our dog school this afternoon. What a big joy for Jane, Chey and our puppies. And they have grown a lot. It was a pleasure to see them playing, walking and practising.
