Easter 2014

Well Easter is indeed already behind us, however, these two photos are reminiscent of the Easter holidays. Once Shadi and Jane in a conversation. Notice these nice green scarves, they have recently won at the 3rd traditional riding hall run - a fun tournament with lots of little sporty and fun obstacles, such as spray gun target shooting.

The second photo is from Easter Monday, when we did a hiking tour with a few other doggies of our dog school, a wonderful hiking on and around the Klosterberg. We made a stopover in the quarry of Demitz-Thumitz, where granite stone is won since 1870. In the end we had walked exactly 12.8 kilometers and even Jane did this tour quite fabulous.

Our spring hike

Christopher had invited all dog lovers on 8 March to a spring hike in the Elbe valley. From Altkötzschenbroda 31 people - large and small ones - started on a tour along the Elbe and through the so-called wine, mansion and garden city Radebeul. A lot of walkers , cyclists and some dogs were on their ways, but our doggies behaved perfectly. After bratwurst and beer we went into the cozy wine cellar, where Jürgen Raupach showed us a film with many impressions of his sled dogs holiday in Sweden. Very interesting.

All in all a beautiful spring start and many thanks to Jürgen and Evi and Christopher and Christine with Eichi, who after so numerous dogs visits in his territory had a lot to do afterwards.

On the Hutberg

Our this year's first mountain is the Hutberg of Großharthau. May there be some more impressive heights we will climb in 2013.

After-Christmas hike

Katja and Dirk invited this year to the traditional after-Christmas hike to Großdrebnitz . 15 cheerful dog people along with their enthusiastic four-legged friends trudged through the snowy winter forest ... could have been thinking .

But no, this year there wasn’t any Christmas snow like last year. And so we started at almost spring-like temperatures on our way around Großdrebnitz , passing remote villages , small ponds , streams , autumn woods, meadows and stubble . In the two rest stops Katja and Dirk had perfectly prepared for our comforts . Finally, also the doggies seemed to like our hike, so it was said once " leash off" and Jason , Curt and Fellow ran cross country in best male style .

On our way back over the Hilmesberg we had a fantastic view over the West Lusatian hills with a wonderful sunset. Finally, we have managed about 10 kilometers and dog and man arrived exhausted but still in a good mood again at Großdrebnitz.
Thank you to our hiking guides that would like to have gone a bit further, but it was also really nice and everyone has lost at least a few pounds of Christmas roast goose meal . And there were no unpleasant incidents . Well if that 's nothing!
